The Ridge Meadows Flames are announcing that they are parting ways with head coach, Bayne Ryshak. The change is effective immediately and comes after much thought and deliberation, given Bayne’s significant history with the team. Bayne started as a player with the team in 2008 and played for three seasons, including being named an Assistant Captain in his final season. Bayne served as an assistant coach in the 2013-14 season, before taking over as Head Coach in 2015. The pinnacle of his success with the organization occurring when he led the Flames to the  2017/18 PJHL finals, the same year he was named PJHL Coach of the Year.

“We would like to thank Bayne for his hard work and dedication during his tenure with the Flames,” said Andrew Ilaender, Owner of the Ridge Meadows Flames.  “This season has been very challenging with COVID-19 and public health regulations constantly changing, we thank Bayne for his work in keeping the players engaged and safe on the ice during every session. We also want to thank Bayne for his years of dedication to the Flames organization as both a player and valued member of the coaching staff. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
